Taking responsibility for your life begins with taking responsibility for your happiness. If you are prone to relinquish that responsibility to others, you are handing over your life to them. Your present and future are dependent on them, not you. What does happy look like for you? Owning your responsibility for who you are and how you turn up in the world is a giant leap toward realizing that you are the cause of being where and what you are. Once you define your intentions, Imagine Being then helps you to set in motion, a series of actions – capitalizing on a series of circumstances – and thus, creating your own opportunity. We believe that people generally put their attention (and, therefore, actions) into what they are really committed to. It works in all areas: health (healthy lifestyle), love (being in a relationship), financially secure (working or finding a way to pay for their lifestyle while not spending more than they actually have), choosing their self-expression (and spending time working in areas that suit their expression), and growing and developing (by spending time and focus on areas that will contribute to claim ownership of their life). Yet, life is full of variables. People, customers and the weather - all vary in their behaviour. The truth is that life is full of setbacks, problems, changes in circumstances, issues and uncertainty. We have not yet met with any person who is setback free. And being human does include falling off the pathway toward our intentions. There will be times when you set down a path only to discover it is not what you thought it would be. In such instances, it’s not a matter of when the tough get going, but that the smart realize they’ve miscalculated their intentions. It’s okay to change course. Life is full of disappointments and the freedom is found in our power to be with the setbacks and find a way to move on from them and to ‘get back on track’ with our quest to live a more fulfilling life. When you set out to do things that are beyond your present experience you can get very confronted with the uncertainty and the unknown. We like to know or have some sense that it is all going to be okay. The reality is that in the complex, changing world we live in it is hard to control very much at all. Frequently we find ourselves having to adapt and change according to what life throws at us. We can come up with reasons, explanations and excuses not to be our best intentions or we can come up with reasons, explanations and excuses to BE our best intentions – you choose – which one will it be?
Imagine Being is the capstone for acknowledging the PINGS or setbacks of life, obtaining leverage on yourself to overcome the ‘ah but’s and ‘if only’s - and become a MASTER of setbacks. Then we get on with it to create momentum, sustain it and celebrate the successes. You are, after all, the creator of your catalysts...as well as your chaos. However, while you alone are at the helm, you are not alone in the journey. Sometimes, you need a lifeline - a partner who believes in your dreams and supports you. No one knows what you need in your life unless you tell them. Imagine Being prompts you to invite them in. We also believe that, as beings in this world, we are all connected. We are designed to reach out to others who are less fortunate, less privileged, and less prepared to take on these battles alone. We believe that a complete being is one who shines a light in someone else's life. Imagine being the light. In sum, you can wait for life to happen or pass you by – or you can be deliberate about the outcomes you wish to manifest. Choice is focused effort. You get to choose, it is your life. Your choices cannot be left to chance. There is power in decision and your choice cards are infinite. You get but one turn in this life…we suggest you make the most of it. Learn that life is not a race, but you cannot take it at an amble either. We do not, as humans, have all the time in the world. At the end of your days, what will make you feel that your life is incomplete if you do not accomplish or realize it? On the flip side….what will make you content that you have lived a life of your design – so say to yourself, ‘well done’? Imagine Being encourages life’s participants to find a beach or a cave or whatever it takes, but sit and think, and think and be open, and receive whatever it is you receive. You are never too young, and you will never be too old to be the author of your life’s design. Take the first step in living life on your terms...once you dip your toe, you can't help but dive in and swim. Find out that you float. |
